1:5. پر حؔنہ ّ کو دُونا حِصّہ دیا کرتا تھا اِسلئے کہ وہ حؔنہ ّ کو چاہتا تھا لیکن خُداوند نے اُسکا رَحِم بند کر رکھاّ تھا ۔

1:5. But he would give a double portion to Hannah, because he especially loved her. Now the LORD had not enabled her to have children.

1:5. And though he loved Hannah, he would give her only one choice portion because the LORD had given her no children.

1:5. but unto Hannah he gave a double portion; for he loved Hannah, but Jehovah had shut up her womb.

1:5. Elkanah always gave an equal share of the food to Hannah. He did this even though the Lord had not let Hannah have any children. Elkanah did this because Hannah was the wife he really loved.
