9:1. اے اسرائیل دُوسری قوموں کی طرح خُوشی و شادمانی نہ کر کیونکہ تو نے اپنے خُدا سے بے وفائی کی ہے۔ تو نے ہر ایک کھیلہان میں اُجرت تلاش کی ہے۔

9:1. O Israel, do not rejoice jubilantly like the nations, for you are unfaithful to your God. You love to receive a prostitute's wages on all the floors where you thresh your grain.

9:1. O people of Israel, do not rejoice as other nations do. For you have been unfaithful to your God, hiring yourselves out like prostitutes, worshiping other gods on every threshing floor.

9:1. Rejoice not, O Israel, for joy, like the peoples; for thou hast played the harlot, departing from thy God; thou hast loved hire upon every grain-floor.

9:1. Israel, don't celebrate like the nations do. Don't be happy. You acted like a prostitute and left your God. You committed your sexual sin on every threshing floor.
