8:9. دانشمند شرمندہ ہوئے ۔ وہ حیران ہُوئے اور پکڑے گئے ۔ دیکھ اُنہوں نے خداوند کے کلام کو رّد کیا۔ اُن میں کیسی دانائی ہے؟۔

8:9. Your wise men will be put to shame. They will be dumbfounded and be brought to judgment. Since they have rejected the word of the LORD, what wisdom do they really have?

8:9. These wise teachers will fall into the trap of their own foolishness, for they have rejected the word of the LORD. Are they so wise after all?

8:9. The wise men are put to shame, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of Jehovah; and what manner of wisdom is in them?

8:9. The wise men shall be put to shame; they shall be dismayed and taken; behold, they have rejected the word of the LORD, so what wisdom is in them?

8:9. Ashamed have been the wise, They have been affrighted, and are captured, Lo, against a word of Jehovah they kicked, And the wisdom of what -- have they?

8:9. These "wise people" refused to listen to the Lord's teachings. So they are not really wise at all. These "wise people" were trapped. They became shocked and ashamed.

8:9. The wise men are disappointed, they are dismayed and taken: behold, they have rejected the word of Yahweh; and what manner of wisdom is in them?
